Who is College Solutions?
College Solutions is a family business started by Brenda Sawyer, former President and Office Manager, and her late husband Jeffrey Morrison over 35 years ago. Together, they built College Solutions into Northern New England’s largest college placement practice, placing over 10,000 students into higher education. In 2010, their daughter, Kimberly Morrison Labrecque, joined forces with her father and implemented the existing “Perfect Fit and Maximized Aid Potential” model with a structured approach to complete college application and essay assistance, making College Solutions’ services entirely hands-on.
Today, College Solutions is led by our Senior College Consultant and President, Kimberly Morrison Labrecque, who works with students from start to finish on finding the right mix of colleges, applications, essays and maximizing funding opportunities, providing knowledge and expertise that cannot be found within school systems. Kim walks every student through their college search from their very first meeting, where she conducts a student interview, until they have selected their ultimate top choice.
College Solutions completes all financial aid filing for our clients. Our Financial Aid Consultant Keith Morrison works with families to process all financial aid, give support through this challenging time, and help debunk many of the obstacles/loopholes that are designed to decrease the amount of aid/scholarship funding available to students.
Joanne Sullivan, our Office Manager, works closely with colleges nationwide to host a wide range of Deans/Directors of Admissions of Colleges for personal college admissions interviews on-site, at our office. Joanne placed 2 of sons through the College Solutions program prior to joining our team in 2018, she is very familiar and relatable to the college admissions process. Joanne works closely with our clients to handle all their questions and scheduling needs.
